Dear Friends,
It is an honor to send greetings to everyone attending the Annual
United Hospital Fund Gala (UHF). I am grateful to the friends, faculty, and
staff for their dedication to improving healthcare, significant contributions
to hospitals, and for the steadfast commitment of the UHF. I also wish to
commend and thank tonight’s honorees for their astonishing work and
commitment to serving the people of New York: Bruce Ratner, recipient of
the Leadership Award; Michelle Javis and Yuki Kotani, recipients of the
Distinguished Community Service Award; and Angela Diaz, honored with
the Special Tribute.
I am grateful for organizations like United Hospital Fund. For 146
years, this remarkable organization has been instrumental in shaping a more
effective health care system for all New Yorkers, with a focus on those with
the greatest needs. Its unwavering commitment continues through the
development and support of innovative programs that enhance the quality,
equity, accessibility, affordability, and overall patient experience of care.
UHF is an exemplary organization, driven by its mission to serve and
empower others through integrity, equity, collaboration, and vision, and I
hope its efforts will inspire people across the nation to join the fight.
Once again, congratulations on this accomplishment and to
tonight’s honorees. Please accept my best wishes for many more years of
continued growth and success.
